Taipei, Taiwan (June 10, 2019) ASRock Industrial Computer, the world's leader in Industrial PC motherboards, today announced six systems powered by the 8th Generation Intel® Core Processor Whiskey Lake-UE i5-8365UE that Intel® has guaranteed to support for 15 years.
The iBOX-8365UE, a compact embedded, ruggedized system in the NUC form-factor leads the pack of new releases. For users who don't require a casing, the NUC-8365UE is available as a 4"x4" motherboard only. Also from ASRock Industrial are the mini-ITX IMB-1216, the small board SBC-350, the IBOX-350 and the NUC BOX-8365UE. All six systems run on Intel's WHL-UE i5-8365UE – guaranteed by Intel® to be supported for 15 years which was announced today.
Featuring support for Microsoft® Windows® 10 and up to 32GB of 2400MHz Dual Channel DDR4 SO-DIMM, the iBOX-8365UE is a fanless, versatile device suitable for most industrial and embedded applications. Easily expandable and configurable, the iBOX-8365UE boasts two DisplayPort connectors and one HDMI port that allow for three simultaneous displays. Also on board are three USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 connectors, two RJ45 ports for 10/100/1000 Ethernet, one COM port and one 12V DC-in jack for the power adapter (included). The NUC-8365UE is a stand-alone board without the metal casing and comes with an active fansink for added thermal dissipation. There is one M.2 Key E (2230) to support PCIe and USB, and one M.2 Key M (2242/2260/2280) for SATA3 and PCIe.
ASRock Industrial is also introducing the IMB-1216 and the SBC-350 board-only systems along with the IBOX-350 and the NUC BOX-8365UE. The IMB-1216 comes in the mini-ITX form factor (17cm*17cm) and has multiple expansion options with five USB 3.1, three USB 2.0, two SATA3 and six COM ports. In addition, there are one M.2 Key E (2230), one M.2 Key M (2242/2260/2280) and one M.2 Key B (3042) slots for PCIe, USB or SATA connectivity. It supports Dual Channel DDR4 SO DIMM 2400 MT/s for up to 32GB of memory, two DisplayPort and one LVDS video connectors, four USB 3.1 and four USB 2.0 plugs, one SATA3, and four COM ports.
